KINGSTON, Jamaica – Google, the American multinational technology company that specialises in Internet-related services and products, on Thursday joined Jamaica in its Independence Day celebration.
On the search engine’s main page, a Google doodle is displayed with fireworks in the colours black, green and gold. This is in recognition of Jamaica's 53rd Independence.
A Google doodle is an artistic version of Google’s logo.
Some Google doodles are limited to country specific main pages. The Google doodle appeared when OBSERVER ONLINE accessed Google's main page from www.google.com.jm.
